About the Service

Financial assistance for families who adopt a child from state care (orphans or children without parental custody).

Who Can Apply

• Ukrainian citizens who permanently reside in Ukraine
• Have adopted a child from state care (orphans or children without parental custody)
• If a couple is adopting, either spouse may claim the benefit at their discretion

Conditions and Requirements

• The benefit is granted for each adopted child based on the court adoption decision
• The application must be submitted no later than 12 months from the date the adoption decision becomes legally binding

How to Apply

Online via the Diia portal:

1. Click "Submit Application" and log in
2. Provide information about the children you're claiming the benefit for
3. Select the payment method
4. Provide details about the court adoption decision
5. Sign the application with your electronic signature or Diia Signature
6. Track the application status in your personal account

Offline:

• Submit the application in person or by registered mail to the Pension Fund of Ukraine or a service center in your area of residence

Required Documents

• Application form (upon presentation of passport)
• Copy of the child's birth certificate with amendments made according to the court adoption decision
• Copy of the court adoption decision

Timeline

• Application submission: ~10 minutes
• Application review: 10 calendar days

Result

You will receive a notification of the benefit decision by email. The benefit is transferred to a social benefits card.
