Adoption Support Allowance

Service Description

A state allowance for adopting a child, provided for each adopted child.

Terms and Requirements

• Ukrainian citizen permanently residing in Ukraine
• Has adopted a child from the category of orphans or children deprived of parental care
• When adoption is by a married couple, only one of them is eligible for the allowance, as they choose
• The application must be submitted no later than 12 months from the date the court decision on adoption takes legal effect

How to Apply

Online via the Diia portal:

• Log in to your personal account
• Fill in the form with the child's information
• Select the payment method
• Enter details from the court decision on adoption
• Sign with an electronic signature (Diia.Signature or qualified electronic signature)
• Submit to the social protection authority for review

Offline:

• In person or by registered mail to a branch of the Pension Fund of Ukraine
• In person at the Administrative Service Centre in your area of residence

Required Documents

• Application form in the prescribed format (when presenting a passport)
• Copy of the child's birth certificate with amendments made based on the court decision on adoption
• Copy of the court decision on adoption

Timeline and Cost

• Time to submit application: approximately 10 minutes
• Review period: 10 calendar days
• Cost: free

Result

A letter with the decision on the allowance is sent to your email. The allowance is paid only to a social benefits card.
