Frequently asked questions

From what age can a teenager get a scholarship abroad?

It depends on the programme: some fund upper secondary school from age 14–16 (UWC colleges, for example, admit from 16), others are only for university entrants. Age and grade are always stated on the programme card.

Does a scholarship cover everything?

Not always. Some programmes cover tuition, housing and flights in full; others cover tuition only or part of the cost. The organiser states what is included, and we copy it to the card word for word.

What is needed to apply?

Usually a motivation letter, grades for the last years, a teacher’s recommendation and proof of English. Some programmes hold an interview. The exact documents and deadline are on the organiser’s page linked from the card.
