Frequently asked questions
Can a teenager go abroad on a programme without parents?
Yes. Most international camps, summer schools and volunteering projects are designed for a 14–18-year-old travelling alone: they live on campus or with a host family under the organiser’s supervision. A child leaves Ukraine without parents only with a notarised parental consent and an accompanying adult; check the current martial-law border rules with the State Border Guard Service.
How much does it cost?
Most opportunities here are free or scholarship-funded: the organiser covers participation and often travel and accommodation too. Where there is a fee or a contribution, it is stated on the card — we only publish a cost taken from the organiser’s own page.
From what age can a child go abroad to a camp or a contest?
Most opportunities are for ages 14–18: volunteering projects and summer schools usually start at 15–16. Younger children have international contests and olympiads, usually with an accompanying adult. The age range is shown on every card. A term or a year at a school abroad is on the «Exchange programmes» page.
