Humanitarian assistance (humanitarian payment) per child for Ukrainians with temporary protection in Czechia
State cash allowance for Ukrainian children living in Czechia with temporary protection status. The assistance covers basic living needs. Payment amounts depend on the length of stay in Czechia and the child's status. First 5 months: CZK 3,490 per child (CZK 4,188 for children aged 6–10 years); from month 6 onwards, the amount remains unchanged. Enhanced payments available for children with self-care limitations.

Payment amounts
First 5 months (150 days) from obtaining temporary protection:
- CZK 3,490 per child
- CZK 4,188 for children aged 6 to 10 years
From month 6 onwards: the amount remains unchanged
Enhanced payment for children with self-care limitations:
- Level 2: 2.4 times increase
- Level 3: 2.8 times increase
- Level 4: 3.0 times increase
- Level 5: 3.4 times increase
Eligibility requirements
Humanitarian assistance is provided to foreigners with temporary protection in Czechia who:
- do not have sufficient funds to cover basic living needs
- do not have funds to cover housing costs (up to the calculated housing expense limit)
Payment is not provided if the child is provided free of charge with: full-day meals, basic personal hygiene items, and housing.
Income and property relations of the child within Czechia are considered.
How to apply
First application: submit directly to the Labour Office of the Czech Republic (Úřad práce ČR) at your place of residence in Czechia, providing:
- passport
- document confirming temporary protection status (visa)
Subsequent applications: submit through the online application system.
Payment: is made only to a bank account in a Czech bank. In the month when temporary protection was granted, payment in cash is possible.
It is recommended to open a bank account in a Czech bank to receive payments.
