UNICEF supports vulnerable families when attacks on critical infrastructure cause prolonged disruptions in essential services: electricity, heating or water supply.
The assistance is designed for rapid response and support to families who are particularly vulnerable to such disruptions. Under the current programme, emergency payments amount to UAH 4,100 per eligible person.
How it works. Depending on the location and programme implementation conditions, assistance is usually provided through local social protection authorities. Families receiving assistance through government systems are identified, verified and receive payments through the relevant social protection bodies. UNICEF does not conduct open online registration for this assistance.
Programme implementation depends on the scale of the crisis situation. Information about settlements where such support is launched is announced by local authorities.
