About the service:

Registration of a child's birth and ordering additional state services for your baby.

Conditions and Requirements

When to apply: within 30 days of your child's birth

Time to complete the application: ~20 minutes

Cost: free

Who can be registered: children at birth (from day 0)

Who can submit an application:

• married parents
• unmarried parents
• single mothers

Required documents:

• number from the medical birth certificate
• passports of both parents (for offline application)
• digital signature for online submission

When you cannot get this service:

• the child already has a birth certificate
• the child was born outside a medical facility
• the child was born outside Ukraine
• one parent is a citizen of another country
• one parent has citizenship of another country (even with residence permit)
• the marriage between parents was registered in another country
• an old-format medical certificate was issued (form 103/o)

How to Apply

Online:

• Log in to diia.gov.ua using digital signature or BankID
• Fill in the online form and select additional services
• Sign the application with digital signature from both parents (if required)

Offline:

• Contact the eToddler service administrator at a maternity hospital, civil registry office, or Administrative Service Centre
• Both parents must be present (under certain conditions)

Results and Timelines

• Birth registration decision: no later than the next business day
• Birth assistance approval decision: within one month
• Payment to bank account: on the next payment date (8th or 25th of each month)
• Decision on assigning tax number and ID: no later than the next business day
• Cash compensation for baby package: paid within 30–45 days to a special card

Additional Information

• This service is voluntary
• You can get a digital signature for free from PrivatBank or from certification centres (approximately UAH 200)
