Participants

- Legally reside in one of the EU member states or a third country associated with the Programme (Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Turkey)
- Are registered on the European Solidarity Service Portal
How it works
Solidarity projects must address key community problems and have European added value. Participants engage in meaningful informal learning through planning, preparation, implementation of activities and evaluation of results.
Activities take place in the country where participants live. In cases where the project concerns cross-border issues, activities may also take place in cross-border regions of EU countries, associated third countries and third countries without association that border the applicant country.
Projects must be accessible and inclusive, taking into account the needs of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Special funding is provided for the participation of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Organisation and support
A group of young people can seek support from an organisation (public or private) that can mainly provide administrative assistance. Participants can receive support from a coach (volunteer or professional) with experience working with young people.
Grant
Maximum grant per month: EUR 630
Application
The application is submitted by the group (through a designated youth representative) or by the organisation implementing the project on behalf of the group, to the National Agency of the country where the applicant legally resides.
