Poetry Competition for Young Writers
Annual competition for high school students in grades 10–11 (sophomores and juniors in the American school system).
What's included:
- Publication of the winner's and finalists' poems in The Kenyon Review magazine
- Full scholarship to the Kenyon Review Young Writers summer workshop
Requirements:
- Unpublished work only
- One poem per entry
- File formats: PDF, Word (.doc/.docx), RTF, Microsoft Wordpad, Notepad, Apple TextEdit (.txt)
- Free to enter (no submission fee)
- Do not submit simultaneously to other publications or competitions
Submission:
- Through the Submittable platform
- November 1–30 (inclusive)
- Portal closes at 23:59 EST on November 30
Results:
- Winners announced in March via email, website, and newsletter
